
The role of Dick Martin was played by Joe Maross in 1966 and by Edward Kremmer from 1966 to 1970, then again from 1975 to 1978. He was an attorney in the Lowell law firm. He was interested in Claire Lowell at one time. He romanced Lisa Miller. He investigated Tom's one-time wife Natalie and learned about her sordid past. For the district attorney's office, Dick prosecuted the case against Dan Stewart for attempting to murder John Dixon. He represented Joyce Colman in her custody battle for Teddy. In the photo to the left he is shown with Natalie.
Jim Strasfield was the acting chief of staff at Memorial at one time. He was on the show in the mid to late 1970s and was played by Geoffrey Horne.
Augusta Dabney played Ann Holmes from 1966 to 1967 and also played a character named Mrs. Parsons in the early 1970s. Ann was married to Bill Holmes. Bill fathered Amanda Holmes with Sara Fuller. Ann had adopted Amanda. Amanda sought Don Hughes' help in finding out who her biological mother was.
In 1971 Simon Gilbey came to Oakdale. He was a millionare who was a client of Chris Hughes. Simon was very demanding and caused a lot of stress for the Hughes family. He fell in love with and proposed to Lisa Miller, but she declined his proposal because Tom didn't like him. He became involved with his one-time ward, Meredith Harcourt, and they left town together. The role of Simon Gilbey was played by Jerry Lacy in 1971. Nina Hart played the role of Meredith Harcourt.
