His Broadway credits include Ulysses in Nighttown with Zero Mostel, The Lincoln Mask with Eva Marie Saint, The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel and Richard III, both with Al Pacino, Checking Out and Prelude to a Kiss. He also appeared in the initial Off Broadway run of Prelude to a Kiss and in the Roundabout Theatre's production of Picnic, which he received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actor. Off Broadway, Bryggman also appeared with the New York Shakespeare Festival, the Manhattan Class Company, Second Stage and the Circle Repertory Company. In 1993, he received an Obie for Overall Achievement Off Broadway. He is a member of the Theatre Company of Boston and has worked for the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, The Hartford Stage Company and the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Bryggman toured with the late Mildred Dunnock and Albert Dekker in Death of a Salesman, with Elke Sommer in Irma La Douce and with the late Paulette Goddard in The Man Who Came to Dinner. His feature film credits include Die Hard With a Vengeance, And Justice For All, Hanky Panky, and Where's Richard?, which was directed by Al Pacino. Bryggman was born in Concord, California, and raised in Oakland, California. He currently splits his time between Manhattan and Upstate New York. His birthdate is December 21, 1938.
