Frank Dicopoulos

Frank Dicopoulos was born on January 3 in Akron, Ohio. He is 6'1" tall, has green eyes, and is married. His wife's name is Teja Anderson and they have two children, Jaden and Olivia. Teja and Frank were married in October 1990. Teja has also appeared on Guiding Light.

Frank was an outstanding high school student who enrolled in Ohio's Kenyon College in a pre-med program. Frank was an excellent athlete who set a NCAA Division III high hurdles track record. Interest in drama class took him from his intended career in medicine. After graduating from college he moved to Texas. There he held different odd jobs while he worked as a model and actor.

Frank appeared in the MTV documentary Wild Rides. He's hosted ESPN's On the Move and the Miss Teenage America Pageant. He's appeared on the television shows Hotel, The Tracey Ullman Show, Silver Spoons, Dynasty, and Falcon Crest. Frank appeared on The Young and the Restless, Capitol, and General Hospital. He's played the role of Frank Cooper on Guiding Light since 1987. He originated the role.

A few years ago Frank was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. It was caught quickly and left him with a small scar on his face. He is now a spokesperson for the Skin Cancer Foundation and has filmed public service announcements for them.

Frank enjoys sports, music, theater, art, films, and pets. He likes to collect contemporary art.
