Sharon Leal

Sharon Leal joined Guiding Light in February 1996 and last appeared on the show in the fall of 1998. She played Dahlia Crede.

Sharon was born on October 17 in Tucson, Arizona. She was raised in California and has one younger sister, Kristina Manankil. Sharon's mother's name is Angelita. She is a homemaker. Her father, Jesse, is retired from the U.S. Air Force and teaches elementary school. She has a stepfather, Elmer Manankil. Sharon graduated from Roosevelt High School of the Arts in Fresno, California. She studied acting at Diablo Valley Junior College.

Sharon has been acting since she was 13. She's appeared on Broadway in Miss Saigon and Rent. Other theater credits include roles in productions of Dreamgirls, West Side Story, Ain't Misbehavin', and Nunsense. After leaving GL, Sharon played the role of Marita on the television show Legacy.

Sharon is a talented singer and has performed in some rap and R&B music videos. She has also performed in cabaret acts in New York City.

Sharon is single and enjoys rollerblading, dancing, and reading.
