As a child, Tilford was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph nodes). He had surgery that removed the cancer. Tilford has one sibling, an older brother named Bryan. He was raised in Los Angeles and attended Los Angeles High School. Tilford graduated with a BA from the University of California at Berkley and graduated from Rutgers University with an MFA in acting. Tilford's television credits include appearing on the sitcom Coach and the daytime drama Days of Our Lives. His theatre credits include performing in productions of The Memorandum, Involuntary Homicide, Dutchman, El-Hajj Malik: Malcolm X, Wait Until Dark, The Rivals, and All in the Timing. He starred in the independent film A Lover's Portrait and appeared in the film The Man and Lost Cat. Tilford enjoys oil painting, collage art, sculpting, and used bookstores. Fun Facts:
