Miscellaneous: Character from GL's radio days. Ned Holden was left in Rev. Ruthledge's care and the Rev. raised him as his son. His good friend from the seminary was the Rev. Dr. Charles Matthews who lived in Selby Flats, a Los Angeles area suburb. Rev. Ruthledge left a lamp burning in his den that was known as The Guiding Light. It was a sign for all that he was available for guidance at all times. Occupation: Pastor of the Little Church of Five Points in Five Points, a Chicago suburb. After he left this position to go to Europe he was replaced at the church by Rev. Dr. Richard Gaylord, then the Rev. Frank Tuttle, then the Rev. Dr. Paul Keeler. |
