Gordon Hughes - Gordon Hughes was once a director for the radio version of Guiding Light. Hughes worked with Ronald Reagan, Frank Sinatra, Steve Allen, Gene Autry, and Lucille Ball during his half-century stage, radio, and television career. His career began in 1933 with stage productions in the midwest. He produced, directed, and wrote. Some of his credits include My Little Margie and Charlie My Boy. He wrote for This is Your Life and Truth or Consequences. Hughes died of a heart attack in Santa Barbara, California in April 1999. He was 89. Gloria Irizarry - Gloria Irizarry, who protrays Danny Santos' grandmother, first appeared on Guiding Light on February 16, 1999. Gloria is not related to Vincent Irizarry (ex-Lujack/Nick). The role of Danny's grandmother is a recurring one. Irizarry has been acting for over 20 years and has appeared in over 10 feature films. She previous appeared on All My Children as Mrs. Gonzales. Lisby Larson - Larson portrayed Calla Matthews on GL from 1985 to 1986. Since leaving the show she has been doing work in independent films, commercials, theater, television, and some voiceover work. She is married to actor Rex Hays and has two sons, Connor and Matthew. Lando is best known for portraying Sully on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. He's appeared in numerous other films and television shows, including playing Jake on One Life to Live. She now works as a scriptwriter for Days of Our Lives. Married to Roger Newman. John Outlaw - Died on March 8, 1993 at the age of 37, from complications due to AIDS. John was an actor and musician who appeared on Guiding Light and Another World. I'm unsure of what appearances he made on GL. Philip Sterling - Philip Sterling portrayed George Hayes on GL from 1963 to 1968. Before he became an actor he was a jazz pianist. He served as the first president of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation. Sterling appeared on many television shows including Barney Miller, Rhoda, As The World Turns, Family Ties, Night Court, and NYPD Blue.
